What is the test about?


GSAT 2018 will be held to test the eligibility and merit of candidates who wish to pursue Science courses from the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management in the post-graduate level.

Eligibility Criteria for BEM, 5-year Integrated M.Sc. and BCA:

Candidates need a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Science Subjects in the qualifying examination of Higher Secondary of 10+2 level. Candidates who have appeared or are appearing for the final examinations of the qualifying exam in 2018 can apply for GSAT 2018.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. with Maths, Physics, Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics):

Candidates need to have Maths, Physics and Chemistry at the 10+2 level and an aggregate of not less than 50% marks.

PG

Candidates must secure an aggregate of at least 50% in the group (optional) subjects.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Applied Maths:

A B.Sc. degree with Maths as one of the subjects and Maths and Physical Sciences in the Intermediate or 10 +2 level from a recognized university.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Physics:

A B.Sc. degree with Physics, Maths, and any other subject from a recognized institution.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Electronics Science:

A B.Sc. degree with Electronics/ Physics, Maths, and any other subject.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Chemistry (Analytical/ Organic/ Pharmaceutical):

 B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognized university or institution.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Life Sciences Program (Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Science and Technology):

A B.Sc. with Life Sciences/Chemistry/ B.A. Home Science/ B.Tech. in allied subjects/ B.Pharm/ B.P.T/ M.L.T from a recognized institute.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Bioinformatics:

Same as that for M.Sc. Life Sciences. Candidates can also appear for this test if they have a B.Sc. degree from a recognized institute with Maths, Physics, or Computer Science.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Environmental Science:

First preference can be for BEM candidates. Remaining seats can go to candidates with B.Sc. in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences/ B. Tech. or B. Pharm.

Eligibility Criteria for Master of Computer Applications (MCA):

Any recognized degree with Maths at 10+2 level or Degree level or equivalent examination.

What are the test syllabus, duration and format?


60 MCQs. 60 minutes.

  • Offline mode.
  • Candidates will have to mark their answers on an OMR sheet.
  • The test code will have to be chosen as per the course the candidate wishes to pursue.
  • Correct Answer: +1 Mark.
  • No Negative Marking.
  • Maximum Marks: 60.

Syllabus for UG courses:

 Higher Secondary or 10+2 level. Questions based on class 11th and 12th will be asked from the subjects chosen.

Syllabus for PG courses:

 Based on the qualifying degree knowledge in the respective fields. The standard of questions asked will be of graduation level.
